Founded on the Belief That Healing Requires the Whole System
Integrated Psychosomatic Psychiatry was created from years of clinical experience witnessing patients struggle with symptoms that defied traditional psychiatric explanations. Fatigue, chronic anxiety, gastrointestinal distress, inflammation, and trauma responses often overlapped, yet were treated in isolation. Through advanced training in functional medicine, psychosomatic care, and the gut–brain axis, a more complete picture of healing began to emerge.
Linda Rushing’s background as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, educator, and integrative clinician shaped a practice focused on depth rather than quick fixes. Her experience training psychiatrists, managing complex cases, and working with diverse populations led to a model that prioritizes safety, collaboration, and long-term balance. Integrated Psychosomatic Psychiatry now serves patients seeking care that honors both science and the lived experience of the body.

Before founding Integrated Psychosomatic Psychiatry, Linda served as a Clinical Educator at Syneos Health, where she trained psychiatrists throughout Oregon and California on cutting-edge neuroscience medications and safety protocols. Her background in both psychopharmacology and clinical education informs her evidence-based, safety-focused approach to medication management.
Linda has advanced training in psychosomatic medicine and the gut–brain axis, with a particular interest in gastrointestinal microbiome testing and gut-directed psychiatric treatment. She integrates psychotherapy, nervous-system regulation strategies, lifestyle medicine, and microbiome insights to create highly personalized treatment plans.
Outside of her clinical work, Linda is an avid cyclist who enjoys exploring the outdoors and bringing the same dedication, curiosity, and endurance from her athletic life into supporting patients on their healing journeys.
